Despite overcast skies, more than 130 community members, nearly 40 dogs, and 10 local vendors gathered at Wolfe’s Pond Park for CrimsonRise’s inaugural Paws for Autism in recognition of Autism Awareness Month. Led by Valentine, Grand Marshall Sam Pirozzolo’s border collie, participants came together to raise awareness that nonspeaking is not nonthinking and that communication is a fundamental human right. Families, advocates, sponsors, and supporters walked side-by-side in a joyful celebration of inclusion, connection, and community spirit. The event highlighted the powerful bond between people and their pets while supporting CrimsonRise’s mission to promote communication access and acceptance for autistic individuals.
